Okay guys, Here is my first post on my first blog. Today we are going to learn how to make money off twitter. Twitter is the best social networking site. There has been a 700% rise in twitters’ traffic when compared to last year’s traffic. The Internet Marketers are completely utilizing it to market their products and also for driving traffic to their websites. The traffic rakes in money. Why? Because twitter traffic is targeted! Today, We are going to learn how to make traffic using twitter.com and also how to generate lots of followers so that you can drive traffic immediately. Lets move on..

So you need a twitter.com account (Go register one if you have not). So go to twitter.com and click on “Join the Conversation” button.They don’t need us to confirm email or anything like that, enter the details and start using the account. 

Make your account tweet ready!

The “What are you doing” box is where you get to enter 140 characters of text, this method is also known as tweeting this text you enter will be seen by each and every one of your followers (once you get some), and also every thing you write is stored in the twitter database, and can be used to search upon if somebody is looking for certain keywords, so its a good idea to use lots of related keywords when relevant in your posts.

What you gotta do next is to go to your “settings” tab at the topic which will take you to another page which lets you enter more about yourself, a link to your website, change other settings, add background images,etc.

Also on the settings page is the important “One Line Bio” field, you can do a short self intro here and enter some personal info about yourself, this is very important, as this bio will be an area that lots of tools scan keywords from in order for the  twitterers to follow people of their same interest. So add your keywords and make the bio descriptive.

One more thing which attracts the followers that you are legit is to add a picture of your own. With this, you are making a relationship with your followers.

Auto Welcome Message Tool

Ok, now lets get things rolling with our first tool. It is called Tweet Later. Tweet later does many things. So now that you have a twitter account, you will need to mass follow people in order for you to get followers. Its basically a “I follow you, you follow me” technique. Well that’s the only way to start making followers. 

There are so many techniques to mass follow people:-

• One is to go to “Find People” on the home page and head over to the “Suggested Users” page. There you will find so many people. Select them all and click on Follow button. 

• Another way is to headover to a twitter ranking site like twittercounter.com or twitterholic.com and follow the top 100 people. When you do so, people who are browsing those top 100 twitterers will see your name first in their followers list. 

• Yet another way….Well this one is to use tools like auto followers. Meet http://mrtweet.net/ . This is an awesome tool which suggest good people are followers you are missing out on. It also recommen you to enthusiastic users relevant to you. Also it regularly updates your twitter stats. It finds people on your niche and lets you follow them.

• 4th way is that you have to find out who is following the guru of that certain niche. All you gotta do is go to ‘Find People” on twitter home page, and click on “Find on twitter” tab and then type a niche and hit enter, it will find a lot of people. What you gotta do is open up the most followed person on that niche. He will be the first result most probably. Then take a look at hi followers list, then all you gotta do is start following those people who follow him. That was a good idea ! wasn’t it ?

Making Money!

After a week or two, if you have worked hard, you are sure to have 2000+ followers. Now headover to some twitter advertising programs where you publish ads for certain advertisers on your twitter page. Yep, They require your username and password. They will not sell these information.

1. Twtad:  This is a nice program where you can post ads when you want. But you are limited to 3 ads per day. Well that was a good idea to make the site balanced. You just enter your details and sign up right away. Add your twitter account. Headover to the POST ADS section and start posting ads at time intervals of 5 hours. This is for your tweet to get more exposure. Their minimum payout is $20. With 2000 followers , you will earn $5 – $10 per tweet. So that $20 minimum is not too far away.

2. Be-A-Magpie  –> This one is also a nice little ad program, but there is only one thing different here. They choose when to post ads. Also there are more monetizing sources over there. You can get paid for clicks,sales or leads. Whichever you want! IT is quite slow in posting ads to our twitter account. But you can get nice amount of money! The only negative point is that they don’t post tweets frequently! Maybe like once in a week! Be a magpie now!
